[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Looking at the photographs in my gallery, I was telling myself how cruelly they lack colours. I decided then to pop up some yellow in there, but had to stop immediately with my post processing, otherwise I would have ended up with only a slice of yellow on a very, very dark background… Anyway, here’s a tilted tulip, which by the way is the most photogenic flower IMHO. I liked the golden tones due to an excessive toggle of levels, which are the only interesting thing about this photograph (otherwise a banal and boring traditional flower compo). Yellow in my gallery. Let’s hope the sun pours down the same type of light this weekend.

Hi Gal,
Very nice shot! So soft and peaceful..
Very well composed.. Great using of depth and colors..
Congrats!

Hi Gal,
Nice macro. The shadows are really dramatic here. And the golden, warm tone, reminds me of caramel candy for some reason. ;) I must be hungry. Excellent composition. Great pp. I have a bit of tulips in my floral collection, too. But, I haven't come to what my favorite may be yet...though...a certain type of proteus comes to mind...
Have a good weekend!
Richard

A really nice shot, I do like a lot the drops on the flower. Also, I like how you enhanced the yellow. Not boring for me, regards, Iris

hi Gal :-)

i know exactly what you mean.. i adore working with b&w but sometimes wish i had more colour in my gallery.. everyone needs colour in their lives! so i need to work on that too.. i think this wonderful gold tone is just the right antidote.. especially with the freshness of the water drops making everything feel so new and hopeful again.. i really like this shot :-) great detail and it just makes me feel better.. well done!

Ayda

You put the yellow yourself? Well used. It remain the last ray of sun!

Great golden yellow with the tinge of green (sigh). The shadows are truly dramatic and it has that essential crispness of a macro in water drops. A wonderful picture Gal.

Hi Gal, I have to contradict your expression of banal and boring flower compo. This one is excellent. The darkness and the handling of the light makes it mysterious and interesting to watch. The water drops are a wonderful detail. Great DOF. Very good work ! Yours, Jan

Golden fresh, simply beautiful.
TFS Gal

Gal, on the contrary I find your photo very interesting because very intriguing. At first I could not make out what it was, after reading your note I appreciated it even more
Well done
Arturo

OK, so it's in colour but it's still pretty monochrome. Mind you, that doesn't keep it from being a minor masterpiece in that much used category that we call macrophotography. I would have liked to see the top of the petals, although this way it is difficult to see what it is if you hadn't told us. Lovely light.

i regret selling my macro lens now that i see this :(
excellent work.

Like the warml colors here Gal ..and the compostion is great too , the drops are a postivr addition here ..excellent work !!

Se a galleria estava a necessitar de cor então deste-lhe o tratamento adequado!!!
As cores são lindas. Adorei esse tom dourado nas flores. É uma excelente macro. Parabéns!

Ana

The golden colour is attractive. Pity the top part of the tulip is out of the composition, but the water droplets make up for that.
