Got to be, without a doubt, your best photo EVER Karen! THE COLORS! Amazing, the comp, the action...really superb in everyway! and do you see why?? The evening light, 90 degrees to your right, excellent exposure, perfect time of the day! Remember that....bright sunlight is too harsh...most photos are best taken morning and evening! This is superb!

I will have to agree with Linda on this one. Very good DOF and for FL55mm you must be very close to the subject. Really superb capture at 1/125 freezing the motion but yet showing a little blur to indicate movement.

I visited Calgary Stampede 3 times and stayed in Edmonton for 2.5years but never knew anything about Pow Wow (not until recently watching TV documentary and a movie).

A fine TL post.

Very colourful, but scharpness is too small.
In this case better to use a smaller aperture.

Hello Karen,

What a fabulously colourful and detailed shot!
You have just the right dof and the right amount of blurriness to give the impresion of movement.
As a young girl, brought up on cowboys and indians with my brothers, I find the Native Americans incredibly interesting! This is going to have to go into my favourites collection.

What a colorful parade. A very sharp photo with very bright colors and good use of light and shadow. I would have liked to see their faces but judging by the shadow they would have been backlit.
