hi.. donald
this very nice macro, color sharp, good jod .

Hey stranger!!! Welcome back and hope all is well with you!!

Unusual and lovely shot to come back with, i don't think I've ever seen a toadstool look so good. The colours are strong without being over-saturated, the DOF is good and the angular composition works well. Attractive shot!

HI Donald, great shot, lovely colours, nice and sharp.
Best wishes
Rob :)

Well, well, my good friend! So nice to see you here, too!! And with such a spectacular macro shot. I love the nice tight crop and the colors are superb. Brilliant detail as well. I am SO glad you're back! Many thanks and warmest regards,
Shelly

Hi Donald,
We're looking at Amanita muscaria, the 'Fly Agaric' (they were used as fly killers in olden days)
They supposed to be poisonous, but have been used by variou ethnic peoples as a hallucinogenic during rituals.
Not similar to Psilocybin though ... more like Datura!
I tried eating some once, but just felt nauseous.
Taken from a bit further back, using a bigger F stop (say F8 or so) you would have got more DOF. It is possible to get nost of thois in focus if you do it just right.
I've shot a lot of these because we have about 50 or 60 of them in our front garden each Autumn!
You can see one shot of them Here and a Rare Green One too!
Cheers
Steve
