The model does a great job posing and the original image seems to have been excellent. I am not very fond of the post-processing of the skin and eyes, which seems to have been pretty severe and gave a slight artificial look to the final image. Or was the exposure just a bit off?

Very nice light and excellent composition ... she really does make a beautiful model!

I think there was a little bit of camera-shake here. At 100mm focal length, your shutter speed of 1/100s is the slowest it could be - and you would need a very steady hand!

Hi. She's a lovely model.
I do think a smaller apperture, resulting in a deeper depth of field would have helped the image. The sharpest focus seems to be at her ear, and her eyes are a bit fuzzy. A smaller apperture would also reduce the washed out colour on her hand and face.
Beautiful portrait nonetheless.

You really have to work on your focusing, please!!!
Its not camera shake as has been suggested as then nothing would be sharp. You have focused on the plane about level with her ear.You can see the hair is nice and sharp at this point.
Two things you can do, firstly use your auto focus on one spot, using the middle spot. Now always always always focus using the one spot on the eyes, hold the button down, recompose your shot and fire. Or/and use a bigger fstop say f8 so that the dof is wider and not so critical, then if you accidentally focus on the ear it wont matter so much.If by going to f8 the shutter speed starts to look a bit slow, then turn the iso up.( better to get a noisy picture than a blurred one)
A picture with the eyes out of focus is a portrait ruined.

Non riesco ad immaginarti la fotografa despota che infligge tormenti alla figlia per farla posare. Molto luminoso questo primo piano. Ha l'espressione di un bambino beccato con il dito nella marmellata.

ps. Riguardo a qualche commento visto in giro. Non hai mica ucciso nessuno se hai un po' sovraesposto tua figlia o non le hai messo a fuoco l'occhio......Scusa, so benissimo che non hai bisogno di essere difesa, ma le tragedie sono ben altra cosa.

Very well captured portrait of lovely Flaminia.
Thingin on our daughter, Ingrid, who when she was young, also used to scrathed her cheek. Result, she has a scarf at that place, sniff.!
So, better tell Flaminia, not to do so. haha

Bonjour Antonelle
Voila un bien joli portrait de ce modele dont la chevelure est ici d'une belle couleur vive. Les règles sont ici brisées , le sujet devant normalement être cadré de l'autre côté de l'image; mais l'effet est saisissant egt je l'aime ainsi. Le visage et la main me semble un peeu surexposés, ne laissant voir aucun détail, contrairement au cou qui lui expose des texture naturelles.

You are right - it makes a picture come to life - that must be because of the eyes.
And you made the perfect capture of those eyes, I would almost say your daughter has a naughty gleam in them here.
When making landscape pictures I always look for water to make it come to life....
