[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Inspired by Helen Matten (Helkoryo) and this week’s Friday theme on TrekLens, “5 Minutes from Home” — as well as by Bob Shannon (egshannon) of TN and TL fame, and his recent montage — I wondered what I had 5 minutes from home that would meet the requirements of all three Treks. I went out with my camera and that in mind this afternoon. The results are being simultaneously posted on my TrekLens, TrekNature, and TrekEarth accounts. I’ll be interested in your thoughts as to how well it all worked.

After waiting until today for a spell dry enough to tackle Helen's latest weekly theme, I spent my five minutes in the backyard and was struck by the variety of fruit and flowers that have been accruing back there of late -- thistles, blackberries, Indian paintbrush, wild grapes, and those berries of which Mom used to warn us kids: "Don't eat those! They're poisonous." I can't vouch 100 percent for that -- the childhood specter of a "bad tummy ache," or worse, persists :)

Prellminary sizing and sharpening and minor tweaks were done in Zoom Browser, arranging and aligning in Microsoft Publisher, final sizing, scaling, cropping and framing in The Gimp.

A feast for the eyes here. So much to look at and a lot of work to make it happen. Certainly worth the 2 points and maybe more. The cherry tomatoes and the blackberries look delicious.
Nice work.
Mike

What an eye-full of colour here, and very tasty too.

Hi Jim,
Good idea to make a montage with all these Summer fruits!
Each image is clear and sharp!
Do you know that here, people made some wine with dandelions?
