[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This image is kind of a departure from my normal stuff but I thought I would post it anyhow. While walking on the alpines lakes trail within Great Basin National Park I was intrigued by this group of aspens. So here is my take.
Great Basin NP is located on the eastern edge of Nevada only a few miles from the Utah boarder. The park boasts fantastic hiking and camping.

PP: Converted to black and white and levels.

Have a wonderful day

The b&w works well with these aspen trees and their beautiful bark. Love the verticals and the textures, with excellent light and contrasts. Clear, well composed...well done:)

hello,

J'aime beaucoup cette image, ce graphisme de troncs, génial ce détail, ce blan noir est mangiguqe et ce contraste à merveille.

Bravo et amitié

Nicou

Hi Mike,
This has a bit of an Ansel Adams feel to it. He used to create a lot of Aspen tree photos as well. I think they are one of the most photogenic trees. I really like your abstract approuch by just showing us the trunks and filling the frame. The details are great and became even better in the B&W version.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Mike,
These trees give an interesting texture and pattern on your photo, the black and white shot was a perfect choise to present the subject.
Sharp and clear image, well done!
Best wishes,
Kristof

Hi Mike,
I like much this photo with this alive trees wall!
Excellent graphical B&W composition! I propose you a light sepia version!
Bravo! Annie

Hi Mike
The scout is out at this moment checking on the aspens going over Sonora Pass.
My you attracted lots of WS folk with this one.
Good clarity - the B & W seems to take out some of the vitality - needs some punch.

Hello Mike,

Good shot, well exposed and good B&W conversion. And it`s all about contrast what makes this photo a great one.

Good Work!
Jorbe

I like seeing this other side of your work Mike.
This has a classic fine art feel to it.
Like something you'd see in a gallery.
Nicely seen and captured.
