[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is my contribution to Helen's theme.
This is another photo of the "sunflower field series" of which I posted some before. :)

I took this on the side of a sunflower field just close to my home town in Northern Germany.
As I've already read the new Friday Theme topic, I tried my best to shoot a picture of that gladiolus from the top. I stood directly in front of it, holding the camera away from me so that the spectator's view is directly down along the caulis on to the opening blossoms.

pp: cropped a little, sharpened once, added a frame by darkening and blurring parts and resized for TL.

Hope you like it,

regards, Heike

Hello Heike

A well composed shot here, almost has an abstract feel to it,which is a result of the unusual view from the top of the flower.. which.. is just perfect and exactly what was required for the theme. Not an easy one this week and its very pleasing that you gave it a go. Very good colour saturation and nice framing.

TFS and for joining in the theme

kind regards Helen

Hello Heike,
I cannot believe this hasn't received more attention.
Gorgeous colour and velvet texture.
Nicely composed and presented.
TFS, Joni

Whenever you see red, shoot it! With a camera of course:) This is a good example of how red just pops out in an image and draws attention. Good composition, and the DOF really adds to the top-down impression. A beauty, and well done:)

Strong macrophoto. Powerfull red colour. I love it. Keep them coming.
