It's hard at times to keep in touch with those who really mean so much. But side by side or far apart, they will always live inside our hearts

Here's another portrait of the kid from my previous post. He still looked so very sad, doesn't he?

I cropped the photo, desaturated the background to make the boy stand out... then I added some chinese characters on the left side saying "Missing you...", I think this fits his expression. What do you think?

I'm very satisfied with the outcome, but my comment is that there's a shade of line between the face of the boy and the background. I still need more practice on how to do this. Any tips or suggestion?

I hope you like it. Any comments/critiques are greatly appreciated. =) Have a nice day!

What a beautiful child.. I'm just wondering why he is sad. I like the way that you place his face on the right side.. it looks good with the B&W background.

Oh mon Dieu, quel regard. Photo très touchante. Personnellement, je l'aurais un peu plus contrastée. Très bonne idée que de n'avoir laissé que le visage en couleur. Bravo. Amitié, Patty.

great! I really enjoyed the other one, but I like this one better. wonderful portrait. He stands out well from the paler and softer background and the text is a nice graphic addition. Sorry, will leave the technical pointers to those more knowledgeable than I. regards, ck

;>

Cathy, he is such a cute boy! ^_^
Look to his red cheeks! His different eyes, and the frowning forehead made the pic more special! Thankx for sharing it!

He really does look so sad. You captured such great emotion in his face. And it looks great with the b & w background. Well done.

Bonjour Cathy, I like so much your composition. The blur of the background and the B&W fit very well. About the white line between the face of the kid and the background only need a little bit of tool "clonage" (dont know how to say correctly in english. I made a Workshop for you, I did my best... You did an excellent work Cathy...
