Summer's Last Day
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Here in the United States, where we generally go by the astronomical rendering of the seasons, tomorrow is the autumnal equinox and today is officially the last day of summer. It felt wonderfully like it this afternoon, with temperatures in the mid-80s, and on the macro level, green still dominates. On the micro level, however, we're starting to see the opening signals of the fall, with little "red flags" such as the one perched atop the branch. Just now, it's a wonderfully colorful mix.
I used the landscape setting on the camera for this one, striving for depth of field in the close-up while keeping the flash from firing. |

Hi Jim,
Nice display of the colorful leaves. It was an awesome day here in Ohio as well. The leaves are starting to turn to some beautiful colors. I like the one red leaf in this shot. A reminder of what is to come. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

Hello Jim A good peek at autumn leaves. Nicely framed perspective with the light cutting across the frame. Sharp details and very well done. Regards. Jusni

Hi Jim,
Excellent low POV which lets filter the light through the colorful leaves. Excellent colors and diffuse light. Autumn is really a beautiful season ! Bravo! Annie
