[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday's post showed Phil & Jess with their "poker face" on. Some thought they looked a tad unfriendly. And to think that not all that many years ago it was the sober face that dominated photos for the "normal" facial expression. Nearly all of my ancestor's early photos, say pre-1950, were sober-faced and unhappy looking shots.

Picture info: I inverted the photo in CS3 and then reintroduced 'blotches' of color throughout much of the central portion of the photo leaving the outer portions mostly in an inverted state.

Much warmer, the smiles go a long way towards easing the atmosphere. The chokehold around Jess' neck I'm not so sure about, lol! But the composition is strong, the vignetting works well.

They look like a different couple now compared to the previous photo.Lovely smiles! I love their expressions.Interesting color effects.Well done.They are great models!

I saw the photo of yesterday. This one is so full of fun and charm. One can tell they are an adorable couple who are very much in love.

Hello Tim, An excelent shot of a happy couple. I like the hazy and indistinct background with the splashes of color. I really apreciate how sharp and clear the faces are. great shot. I am sure they liked it. cheers

Hello Tim, Indeed the partly destaurated colors and their expressions had a retro look. Today , with this one, not only the colors are warmer , but there expressions are lovely.

I like the blurred background giving full focus on your models.
. It might have worked well by darkening it instead of increasing light of the BG.
