Hollywood Blvd., directly across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theater.

I liked this for black and white. I think the blur of the vehicle in the left corner and the pedestrian on the right gives this photo a sense of motion. I was taking pictures of the crowd in front of theater, turned around and took this one real quick and that was it. If would like to have the full image of the pedestrian and I wish the street sign was in a different place but I still think it is interesting.

Didn't do much, just changed to black & white and adjusted the tone somewhat. Your comments/critiques are welcome.

Hi Cheryl...

This is an excellent 'grab shot' (street scene taken reflexively, without time to dwell on composition). Great detail. Perfect for B/W.

As to composition, I disagree with you on the blurred vehicle. It is too much 'in the foreground' and distracts from the otherwise strong elements in the image - the guy leaning against the building looking at you, the detail in the shop windows, the guy walking out of the frame, the guy behind the sign, etc.

I've done a WS to illustate what I think is the strength of the image.

Peter
