Love the mood here Jonathan. Great expert capture of these rays.
Such a beautiful example of nature in action.
Though the buildings are dark, I think they balance what is happening in the sky really well.

Hello there

I have often seen this amazing view as the sun breaches the edge of a cloud but, I never have my camera with me at the time.

A well timed and nicelt balanced shot here, good lighting shoing us just enough detail on the buildings and an excellent diea for the theme

c'est le genre de vue qui vous rends tout petit. Ce nuage dentelée de lumière est vraiment magnifique et la conjonction des rayons lumineux qui descendent et de cette tour qui pointe vers le ciel nous offre une perspective vertigineuse. C'est superbe.

Hummmm!!J'aime beaucoup cette ombre déporté qui est assez rare a observer lorsque qu'un cumulonimbus se forme..
C'est juste a composer en ville mais tu t'en tire admirablement bien!!

Bonjour Jean-Christophe,
Une photo d'ambiance, incontestablement, qui nous montre Venise sous un autre angle que celui de la carte postale classique.
Les contrastes forts, le cadrage et la composition (avec ce nuage qui semble littéralement sur le point de s'abattre sur la tour) font peser une menace sur cette ville, qui semble retenir son souffle. Le calme avant la tempête...
Tout cela rendu de façon très palpable.

nothing else than Fantastic! comes to my mind.
This is such a superb photo...so perfectly composed and balanced but more important with fenomenal light coming from the back of the clouds.
