Hi Mike,
Well composed and wonderful landscape!
It draws out good atomosphere about the contrast between the blue sky of daybreak with cloud and canyon of deep brown color.
And, small moon of top-right gives good effect in the entire image as well as white/gray cloud centered, I think. I remember many canyons having seen at Sedona fifteen years ago when seeing this picture.
Regards,

Great framing here Mike. I love the dark and rich colors shown here.
Mike,
Great use of the golden hour. I think capturing the moon here might have used up some valuable space that you could have shown us more of the canyon. I know this is about the sky as well....but the moon wasn't that special looking and it is usually so difficult to capture with detail. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT knocking you for not capturing the moon better, it's just you had the opportunity to show us a little more here.
I do like this photo....but I guess I envisioned something different when I opened the thumbnail.

Like the richness of the hoodoos in this light situation. The sky was cooperating - really and amazing place. Want to see it with snow!!!!! How about cutting out the moon, blowing it up and re positioning or just bring it lower by cutting out some of the space..

Magnificient image beautifully rendered and presented Mike. I notice that you see a lot in vertical too. I actually had to teach myself to see horizontally. There is a meaning there... somewhere for us... :) TFS

In all honesty, the moon does look a bit like a weird spot there, but I don't think it's enough to spoil the image, which is absolutely stunning. I love the tonality and the mood, you've done an excellent job controlling the saturation and exposure properly - many people would've gone overboard with it, but you managed to produce an image that is both interesting in content and eye-catching in color and details.
