These spooky shadows of a 'stair rail' are in fact evening shadows of a railing outside the friendly Crammond Inn! Cropping the photo like this makes it look more like a scene from a nightmare!

Crammond is a really picturesque little village on the shore of the Firth of Forth, and the Crammond Inn is the local pub. I'll post the picture this was taken from when I can - I assure you it's nowhere near as scary looking! They serve particularly tasty and cheap real ale, and the food's great too. After stuffing yourself full, you can stroll along the waterfront, or even walk all the way out to Crammond Island if the tides (and stomach) permit. The Island is accessible by causeway, which is completely submerged when the tide is in. (I have a picture of the island on TrekEarth, with pics of the pub yet to come :)

Rob, the spooky effect is amazing. I especially like how the railing gets thicker and blacker heading up the stairs making whatever's at the top seem more and more foreboding.

Nice and mysterious shadows, nicely composed. You suceeded in creating a spooky mood.

Great shot you made here Rob...I like those kind of simple photos...well done!!!
