| One of Sri Lanka's tallest statues at 160 Feet, depicting Lord Bhudda seated on a lotus flower in a state of meditation. This is found at Kande Viharaya in Aluthgama. |

Hi Subs,
Nice capture of the statue. I find the posture of this statue to be very stylised, the lines absolutely straight and symmetric. My favourite Buddha statues in Sri Lanka are the ones in Polonnaruwa and the one at Aukana.
I think this will make a very nice B&W image.
Hi Subashini,
Another statue I missed while visiting SL. I saw the one on the Rock Temple entrance, which is big too.
I like the beautiful colors against the blue sky. Good job done in exposure.
greetings,
Joop!

hi Suba
This is a nice large statue of Bhudda and it is amazing how a country like Sri Lanka is also influence by such religion other than Hinduism.
Shot in good composition and in nice blue sky. Very good upright position without much optical distortion. tfs

Subashini hello,
The sculpture looks relatively 'modern' and shows well against the blue sky. Details are most intricate, the colors are striking. My compliments.
