| My wife and I had never been in a Greek Orthodox church, and we found ourselves near the cathedral in Athens, and decided to go in to see it. I asked the caretaker (in my very weak, broken Greek) if it was OK to photograph in the building, and he said yes. One of our shots was this silver-and-gold two-dimensional art piece that had a candle holder hanging in front of it. Overall we were quite impressed with the beauty of the church, and loved the iconogrpahy. |
