[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a picture of a couple who are going to be married on the steamer that was frequently used by Kaiser Franz Josef of Austria. It was a rainy day and from our hotel balcony, we watched wedding guests arrive on the steamer. I cropped the picture severely so one could see the couple more clearly. More on the steamer.

The 52 metre long historic steamship “Gisela”, designed and built by the English engineer Joseph John Ruston, came into service in 1872 to provide much needed transport on the Traunsee. Eventually, following the building of road and rail links between Traunkirchen and Ebensee, the ship became unprofitable and by 1919 was one of only two steamers still operating. Had it not been for the tourist industry no doubt the boat would no longer exists but today it is one of Gmunden’s main attractions. There is a cabin inside which was reserved for members of the Habsburg family who travelled to Bad Ischl on the Gisela during their visits. This boat has been frequently referred to as Emperor Franz Josef's boat.

Hi Roger,
Lovely capture of this old fashioned weeding.
