Dans la mythologie grecque, Argos,était un Géant.

Argos avait reçu l'épithète de Panoptès (Πανόπτης Panóptês, « celui qui voit tout ») car il avait cent yeux, répartis sur toute la tête, ou même sur tout le corps selon certains auteurs. Il y en avait en permanence cinquante qui dormaient et cinquante qui veillaient, de sorte qu'il était impossible de tromper sa vigilance.

Un jour, Zeus tomba amoureux d'une jeune femme: Io. Mais il fut obligé de la transformer en génisse afin que son épouse ne soupçonnât pas son infidélité. Héra, qui n'était pas dupe de la métamorphose de l'animal, demanda à Zeus de la lui offrir.
Elle confia par la suite sa garde à Argos.

Sur l'ordre de Zeus, qui souhaitait délivrer Io, Hermès parvint pourtant à endormir complètement Argos au son de sa flûte, et le tua.

Pour récompenser sa fidélité, Héra sema les yeux d'Argos sur la queue du paon, son oiseau fétiche.

Salut Pascalie
De bien belles couleurs pour ce paon en train de se pavaner. Le cadrage serré est une bonne idée car cela offre au fier animal un superbe décor qui le met bien en valeur. Quand je vois tous ces yeux qui me regardent fixement je comprend mieux pourquoi il y a des madames Paon qui se laissent hypnotiser ;-) Bien vu

WaoW faut fêter ça, t'as pas fait d'encadrement aujourd'hui !!!! je trouve que là, ça donne encore + d'impact à l'effet hypnotique.
J'aime bien la luminosité qui se porte sur la tête de mister paon et le jeu d'ombre.
