The Poppies are out in Niagara-on-the-Lake Ontario, one of the prettiest towns in the province! The blooms have a tissue paper look.
The Oriental Poppy:Papaveraceae orientele; papavar, species somniferum. It is a perennial, best transplanted by root sections in late summer. It can be found in red, orange, white or salmon colours, with blackish-purple centres. A gardener's delight! |
