[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My son, Patrick, receiving his PhD in Comparative Immunology from the University of Alberta at Edmonton.

For Patrick this was the culminating moment of ten years of study. For his family, it was a moment of overwhelming pride. Pat is now at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, NM, where he will be doing post-Doctoral work for the next two years, after which he looks forward to a career in research.

This image is not the best quality, but it was all I could get given the distance from the stage, and limited flash. PPing included minimum cropping, adjustment of gamma levels, moderate colour correction, noise reduction and framing.

Peter,
I can appreciate the difficulty in this shot having photographed my son graduating from SIUE engineering program this summer. The lights usually aren't conducive to photography and it's from a distance. (about 2,000 attended this one, not including the graduates)
I do think that marking the date with a photograph is important here. Very much worth the hard work and I bet the family is very proud like mine. Not so sure about the frame, are those his school colors?
Scott
