Very surreal dreamlike photo. I love the glowing moon, the bird and the tree all in contrast to manmade things, the trails in the sky from jet planes, and the smoke from the factory. Very nice photo composition.

This is an amazing composition. You are really really skilled at using your images to build a collage that has a very vivid and moody effect.

Once again, as with "Close to the City," you've done a great job of mixing natural elements (the heron, the moon, the tree, and the sun) with man-made ones (the steam from the furnaces, the contrails of the planes in the sky). This really creates a wonderful, disorienting effect, as if we just walked into a dream or onto some other planet.

Your PP work is really impeccable, as others have said, but the composition is the best part for me -- every element is placed just perfectly in my view. You have a great talent for "painting" with your camera, which is something I'd like to do but I have a lot to learn yet.

Congratulations on a really wonderful work of art.

Very poetic. It is an excellent PP - each element beautifully placed to create a sense of desolation. I specially like the muted hues of grey here - themed around the billowing smokes of furnaces.

What I find incredible in this shot is how you have included so many interesting elements together within your frame. The bare branches of the tree falling over in a nice shape, the oversized moon, the bird taking flight, the blast furnace chimney smoke and the many striations in the sky. It seems ilke these skies are criss corssed by many jet planes everyday.

three photos in one? generally, I don't consider this type of photos as a "photo". They are more of an art work. I like this one. very interesting. two things I would do differently:
1> I'd remove the moon or the sun. we all know they can not be there, both bright at the same time. The purple flare near the moon kinda annoying, don't you think?

Over all, a great image, I like what you have created!

Ben ik blij dat dit op de intro-pagina verscheen, Ruud. Een echt juweeltje. Zon en maan passen wonderwel bij elkaar, de reiger vormt een mooi element. Het boomsilhouet met de zon erin, die rookbrakers op de achtergrond... goed gezien en spotless PP werk met maan en reiger.

Nice thought to put both the moon and the sun in a single shot!

The moon surely is real and so is the bird but I suppose the sun is artificial as I notice a pale blue streak halo formation on the right bottom side of moon, this i suppose makes it a little unreal! And "Blast Furnace" I suppose because of a particular camera effect in some software I don't remember which has a "solar blast" option for flare effect! Am I near? Anyways this is surely a very good idea and a fantastic picture! Congrats and thanks for sharing!
