[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My current 'thing' is taking macro photos of ordinary things that we find in nature. This gumnut literally jumped out of the garden at me - it is so extraordinarily beautiful in its semi-decayed state.

I don't have any fancy equipment, so just a few study lamps and some white paper for this one. I'd love to know how to improve these photos so any advice greatly appreciated.

Hello Jennifer, welcome to TL!
This is a very interesting object, when I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was some type of coconut. The detail on this macro is excellent, however, I do find the stem a little out of focus though. I particulary like the strands running from the bottom up, I also like the duotone background colour, excellent work well done.
