[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I created this image from a segment of a photo I took of a small rowboat that was floating alongside the quay at Comox Harbour on Vancouver Island. I had tried many times to make a useful image out of the original, but had basically given up on it until Helryko came up with the 'B&W Parallel' theme.

The white curves at the bottom of the image are the curved boards that form the hull of the boat. The 'parallel' grey bands are reflections of the hull in the water. The original was in colour, so after cropping I converted to black and white and adjusted levels and contrast to get the density I wanted in the blacks, then cleaned up the whites. Having finished the image to my liking, I rotated it 180 degrees to create the abstraction I had envisioned.

A killer... From Corner to corner to corner...

My favorite corner ?
The upper right - but of course !
No slightest doubt in my mind.
Rotating it 180 degr. was a brilliant stroke of a master.
I would even go as far as 192 degr.
What the heck... Reach for the highest mountain !!!

Merry Christmas, Peter.
Breathe deeply.

.................

Do you know that my favorite hamster died the other day ( during the exhausting rehearsal !)...
I can't overpass my sadness...

.................

Truly yours...george
