This little guy sat on my gate post this morning for hours - kept changing position, showing me his best side :)

Hi Cerys.

Nice shot. The details of the bird are very good. May be the composition could be improved to include the environment surrounding the bird.

Regards.
Pascal-Eric.

Hi Cerys

A stunning photo of this Robin. Crisp sharp detail and awesome warm colouring. The DOF used is very effective too.

Superb! TFS,

Martyn

Nice job here Cerys. Crisp, sharp, with excellent use of the shallow DOF and soft background bokeh. Composition and the singleminded exclusion of everything but your subject is perfect.

Hello Cerys, these cheerful little birds never fail to please me; this is well worthy of a Christmas card!
The bright light highlighting the red breast is excellent.
And the details of his perch just add to the shot.
Good work.
Tfs, regards Jean.

hello cerys,
nicely captured with lovely colour, light and sharpness. The out of focus bg acts as a good foil to show of this cheery chap.

How did you get him staying there with such an intriguing expression? You must be a witch! (:- you enchanted him!
This portrait is marvellous, I've never seen a bird photo like this one, so real, so intense and so fine. The sharpness is incredible, you can see fine detail on the post too. and furthermore the background is ideal to enhance the profile of the bird. Very, very good shot.
Best compliments,
Donato

This is wonderful. Crisp details, perfect colours. Even the wooden post looks great. Subject is nicely separated from the background which provides a perfect, distraction free frame.

This is superb. The details and colours are perfect. The composition and DOF are excellent.

Great colours and sharp details. Personally I like the DOF and the way that the background is blurred - it maintains the attention on the bird and avoids distractions.
Thanks for sharing

I dont have enough patience to take this pics.....really

the gradient from purple to light green in the background is the ideal one for the bird with its fantastic colors...

excellent sharpness and lighting...

Hi :)

I like the simplicity in your composition. Lovely pose of your subject with a beautiful light. The back of the bird is a little dark. A different crop could be improved your post with more space over its head and cropped the bottom a bit. TFS

Hi Cerys
I miss the Robins since emigrating to NZ, I have yet to see them here yet in Winter. Wonderful light, the orange on the breast really stands out here, and the sharpness to blur is first rate.
Regards
Jim
