[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Rose garden is located within the Victoria Esplanade Gardens located adjacent to the Manawatu river. The Esplanade Gardens were originally opened to commemorate Queen Victoria’s 60th jubilee.

It is owned by the local council and is open to the public free of charge.

Opening hours are 0800 – 2100hrs October – March, 0800 – 1800 April – November.

This impressive garden is well known to rose specialists and keen amateurs alike because it has in excess of 5,500 varieties of rose.

Nice serene scene Martyn - great reflection.. I'm never too sure about partial framing but it seems to work quite well here..
The image is nice and sharp too but in this bright light I think it's always better to increase the f stop when you've got so much shutter speed to play with - you could have f7.1 and 1/60sec just for example..

Hello Martyn,a wonderful composition with the wall almost cuttting the shot in two.
The reflection is outstanding.The blue sky looks bluer in the water!
It sounds like a lovely place to visit,I guess the perfume must be amazing.

Very nice! It was obviously a perfect and calm day and your reflection, as you say, is perfect. Nicely balanced capture, good metering.
