This one of the series of pictures that I just started posting from my visit to the Botanic Gardens in Washington, DC.
This is a tropical plant from the "jungle" section of the gardens. Since the real jungle is very humid, (rain forest) in order to imitate the climate, they have to spray water every several minutes. Actually you can see the spray and the light beams passing through the water on the left corner of the picture.
Architecture of the building is based on glass and steel construction which lets you play with different types of lights.
Botanic Garden is a fantastic place to visit in DC. |
