[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday Jan posted a picture of this building, the "Hoofdtoren" specially for me...
I told him that this is my most favorite spot of my home town and I really loved the light in his picture.
So, yesterday Jan showed us a sunrise of the Hoofdtoren and I now show you a sunset of the Hoofdtoren.

the young lady is done skating and the guy on the left is done ice sailing... the sun is almost gone and it's getting really cold. The wind was taking up, so it was time to go home...

Added a little saturation and did a small crop...
That's it.

Hoi Anneke
Knappe lucht en goede exposure zodat je nog net de details in de toren ziet. Ben je zelf op het ijs geweest. Waren fijne tijden als kind.

Kijk nou zit ie an de andere kant van de Toren waardoor je prachtige vormen en lijnen heel goed kan zien.
De uitrustende schaatster doet de zaak natuurlijk heel goed!
Ik zal Hoorn zeker meer gaan bezoeken dit jaar(ook ENkhuizen en Medemblik)
Misschien een leuk plan om in het voorjaar eens een bollentocht te houden bij mij,je bent van harte welkom in Hillegom en Menti kan heel goed Indonesich koken :]]

Nice atmosphere with nice colours ! The reflected light on the ice give a good perspective !

Prachtige plaat voor Jan (de bofkont). Mooi laag licht, heerlijke winter impresie en ook bijzonder voor het grote lichtcontrast!. Super plaat. Koelt me een beetje af bij +30 :-)

Like what you were trying to do here with the skaters. I think the setting sun created a major probem with detail on the skaters and the building. I'm posting a WS that I hape solves some of the problem.

I think Jan is very lucky to have this sunset view and a girl here waiting for him to enjoy the evening view. You are clever to use to building blocking the strong sun to avoid OE. The ice skating really reminds me of the years I spend in Canadian winter.

BTW, that is a great lens you are using 18-70mm!
