[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday a friend and I went on the street for taking pictures. He just got his 50D as a Christmas present and now we'll be out very often. After a two hour walk we ended up in JinLi Street, a 'fake' traditional Chinese street. There we had a beer outside and two white faces draw a lot of attention. Serveral people taking pictures of us and of cours we of them. The same goes for this fellow that was looking surprised to see two foreigners drinking a beer, now we don't see a lot Tibetan people around where we live so we were kinda happy to see a 'different' face. So who is the odd one now?
Have a great week.
David

et ziet er een vriendelijke man uit !

hi,

Not bad, getting a 50D as a christmas present.

This guy looks very friendly and the colour red suits him....
I think it's a nice portrait, good light and colours and a nice frame makes it complete.

regards, willemien

hi David

I think this face looks too good to be a monk, he can be a movie star. The red robe is normal for monk but the headwear is something new for me to see. Technically, the face is dark with shadow on inner side otherwise it is a great portrait shot. The red color really stands out and he is the odd one when he also thinks you are the odd one. Shooting in Chengdu, that must be interesting.

tfs, bill

Hallo David,
Fijne inzending!
Frieda.

Hi David, clear ans sharp portrait shot of this Tibetan man!
TFS and cheers,
Bayram

Voor mijn smaak : prachtig.
't leven kan simpel zijn. :-)

Moet daar een lollige situatie geweest zijn !

TFS en tot later

Hi David,
this shot is wonderful and I like the smiling face of this man. I also think that not many Tibetan people are in the middle of China in these times. I would love to visit Tibet, must be an amazing country. And I also would like to visit China again - I was there 1990 - totaly different than today, so it would be interesting to compare what changed.
Thanks for your shot, greetings

A very nice portrait, David. Excellent DoF here, even the door doesn't distract our attention from your main subject. The left hand side of his face is a tad too dark for me, maybe some fill flash could have helped soften the shadows there ?
Enjoy your photo outings!

Good street snap here David, colours and light are good - perhaps a little extra sharpening after the resize for TL would have been good. Not much can be done about the blown-out reflection on h is nose, life will do that!

Hi David. I have added a WS. Hope you don't mind. TFS. Karin
