In Quebec now, the weather is extremely hot and wet. I thus walked in the night because at home, it is almost impossible to sleep so much it is hot, and I saw this light where whirled a lot of mosquitos. As I had my Rebel and my tripod with me, I decided to see the effect of the mosquitos with a long exposure would have. With a temperature set to obtain this electric blue, I loved the result.

moi aussi j'adore le résultat! c'est une très bonne idée, le bleu est fantastique! la pose lente permet de laisser des jet de lumière assez impressionnant!

Très bel effet!

Tu as bien fait de ne pas rester dans ton lit et tu n'as pas perdu ton temps. J'aime beaucoup le bleu obtenu, c'est assez surréaliste. Peut-être que j'aurai coupé un peu à droite de la photo.
Bravo! Et espérons qu'il fasse aussi chaud la nuit prochaine. ^^

Hot and wet weather and the flood of mosquitos... that's killing. Very innovative Pascal... and experiment giving an awesome picture. Kudos.

Yes, this is a brillant idea and the result is excellent, very nice colors added to smoke and mosquitos' tracks !

I thought this was barbed wire to begin with.

What I particularly like about this is the smokiness of the trails - they are not solid lines. I assume that's because the light is flickering at a certain frequency, and the bugs are flying fast enough so they are only lit intermitently.

An unusual and interesting shot.

Very creative idea something I never would have devised. The shot is very effective and the trails are fascinating. I really like it.

Excellent idea and well executed. The note was helpful otherwise I would have thought the light was overgrown with vines.
