Hi David,
You can work with darkness or light (you have done it with both), but the important is the special atmosphere you creat with them. I would call your work the «neo-romantism gothic» (another name to you add to all those I've called you...until now). In fact there are allways a flavour to a certain «decadent» (or «solitude») beauty breathing through a difuse sharpness, a kind of distance usual ilustrated by distant birds flyinf around.
Wonderful colours and light, and a great compo.
