[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ok, this is my first attempt at the classic portrait shot
As you can see the model(my son)isn't that imprest.

Light source was a window
50mm lens at f1.8 hand held
converted to bw and cropped

Hello Martin.
Nice try, but I am afraid you didn't achieve a great result here. Picture is not sharp.
Shooting with 1.8 aperture is very difficult due to very narrow focus area. It is impossible to take sharp, hand-held picture with 1.8 aperture and slow shutter speed like 1/20. You should try to increase ISO speed next time. Higher ISO allows you to take picture with faster shutter speed.
I also think that vertical composition would work better here.
