[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My original intent was to post just one of these images for Friday's Transportation Theme. Of course all four of our grandchildren where on the hill sledding that afternoon. To post just one would not be cool. Sooooooooo all four are getting their "fifteen minutes of fame".
Interesting note, our group had the only sled on the hill that afternoon. My wife found it at an antique shop three or four years ago for another grandchild winter visit. Seems everyone uses plastic disks and plastic inflatables to fly down the hill. Of course you notice we had one of those too.

You must tell us did the sled go faster then the inflatables? I'd rather an old fashion sled! :)

Excellent response to the Friday theme. And in Bonus, we got 6 images. Great idea showing not only the transportation vehicule, but the fun it generate. Great shot and TFS.

Hello Daniel, very appropriate shots for the time of year,and fitting the theme well. A good montage and well presented.
I like the bottom left hand shot where the snow is being 'kicked' up by the sledge, and the little child enjoying her first experience of sledging.

This really is great, Dan - 6 lovely images with the one in the middle of the lower row the highlight for me. Great exposure and saturation throughout with some wonderful expresssions - really very fine, delighted to see this on TL this morning.

Brings back memories as well - as a kid we had the wooden sledges but also used plastic bags and sheets of corrugated iron. Great fun!

A very well constructed montage of thrills and fun! Most of these would make good postings in their own right.
Excellent sharp focus for these action shots with interesting details to engage the viewer.

A little oe on the snow but not a problem on this collection.

Hey Dan, you make sledding fun just looking at these shots , i am not a winter fan at all ( i hide in the house when it's too cold ,hi hi ). All good action pictures well frozen in timeless, precious poses , , my favourite , he he , the bottom left , quite a bit of OE on the snow though but i like it , this one would be interesting to look at as a standalone too. , TFS ,

This is terrific. What a great collage of kids having fun!! Everything about it is pleasing; the joy on their faces, the bright colors, and of course the sleds, tubes, etc... When I was in college, I remember it snowing enough to sled. Suddenly the flat trays started disappearing from the cafeteria! Funny memory.

Too bad you did not have a tobaggan, but you got the next best thing, the sled with the ropes and the feet used for steering, you take me back to my childhood when everything was so rosy and safe.
I love your montage and an extremely nice way to show off the family having fun together, and by their expressions they had a ball.

Hi Dan,
Great family portrait - need additional shots with you and Barb on a sled.
Great job with very tough exposures.
By the way hold on to that old fashioned sled - most places won't let them on their sled hills due to danger of injury to others on the hill. I don't think they sell them anymore in many states. We still have one though... Remember how we used to get pulled behind cars on them?

Hello Daniel!

Winter can be indeed fun. You can not beat that playing with your family like that. Red cheeks, Running noses, but wide smiles at the end of the day.

Today's plastic disks and inflatables are indeed very fast. Long hills are not necessary to go down at fast speed !

Nice to meet your family in such a funny and joyful way.
the expressions are all really personnal and interesting .Some more serious than others . Funny in fact to see all the children were excited while the parents seemed a bit nervous (^_*). Welcome to all on TL.

WONDERFUL GROUPING!!! YOUR PHOTOS BRING BACK SOOOO MANY MEMORIES OF MY FAMILY WINTER SHOTS. WE STARTED OUR CHILDREN TUBING AND SKIING AT THE AGE OF 5. THEY NOW BOARD AND HELISKI.

THE COLORS ARE MAGNIFICENT. THE ACTION IS FABULOUS. JUST BEAUTIFUL HAPPY EXPRESSIONS. I LOVE THEM ALL.
