This is technically not a good shot at all - I know that, but I'm posting it today in honor of my dad who turned 94 on Wednesday, Feb. the 4th. (He was only 90 in this shot though!)
My dad was born in Ukraine in 1915, and immigrated to Canada with his family when he was a young boy. He has seen so many changes in the world in his lifetime, that it's hard to comprehend.
Dad has:
a wife (my mom)
9 children (I'm the second youngest)
6 sons and daughters-in-law
16 grandchildren (and their spouses)
6 great-grandchildren
He mourns the loss of a grandson in 1997 and a son-in-law in 2003.
My parents still live in their own condominium and for the most part still look after themselves. We are very blessed to not only still have them in our lives, but to have them so healthy and capable. Dad said to me on Wednesday that he would never have dreamed that he'd live to be this old.
This weekend we celebrate! My brother and his wife from the US will fly in this afternoon, and late tonight my brother from Vancouver Island will fly in to surprise my parents. |

Hi Trudy,
Nice portrait of your father, just a bit of a blue-cyan cast...))) So I've done a workshop to rectify that...Happy birthday to your father.
