this shot is inspired by:
aazragi's "i" http://www.treklens.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=488699
and
mark25's "the goblet trio" http://www.treklens.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=488275
thanks to both the trekkers for the inspiration, without looking at ur shots i would have never come up with this idea.

ok, first of all i acquired a side/coffee table, put a black piece of cloth on top then placed the glass right at the farthest end of the table. wall is used as background by placing the table 2 feet away. the sb-800 flash with diffuser was leaned(on the floor) against the wall at -15 degrees (approx).

flash was set at remote mode (ch3 groupA), then commander mode was activated on camera's built-in flash mode. camera's built-in flash was deactivated so that only the remote flash could work.

mounted the camera on tripod, manual mode was selected with 1/200 speed for better still n f/5.6 for sharpness n background blur. turned off all the lights (AF illuminator did a great job here) asked my wife to pour water in the glass n i clicked after a second or two.

no contrast/brightness adjustments, only enhanced blue n cyan colours in colour balance. sharpened n cropped a bit from all sides.

Great experiment Mehmood, nice controlled of lights and I like the tones applied though, I would have go for a bit tight cropp in both sides to reduce the empty space. Nevertheless a good shot with nice exposures. Well done.
