[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday I posted the first shot from Valentines day and explained that there were two things that interrupted our day, one was the butterfly and the other was Dr. Ginger, the acupuncturist. We had to go by her office as my wife made an appointment for that day. I followed her and Dr. Ginger back into the exam room.

This is the resultant image. It's different in that I seldom use black & white and don't really try for anything too artistic. It is an experimental shot, I thought this might be the place to get some comments on my methods.

It was pretty dark and lit by fluorescent lights in the exam room, plus Linda was wearing black, and being winter, her skin has a porcelain tone. I only needed to control the depth of field in order to keep the needles in focus, so I set the camera to aperture mode and set the aperture to f8, which gave me a shutter speed that I thought I could safely hand hold with the VR lens. I'm none too steady, even with the VR. I had also left the CPL filter on that lens, but I forgot about it until the next day. Somehow it worked, though and I thought it looked best after running it through Photoshop. I created the frame and resized there, then I used DxO Filmpack, V2 to convert to B&W, then used the Neat Image demo to remove noise and sharpen a bit.

I thought it was interesting. What do you think?
