Eh oui, chaque chose a sa place et chaque chose est à sa place. Qu"on touche une seule feuille et l'équilibre se rompt...

J'ai une petite préférence pour ta version en noir et blanc car ici la poutre au premier plan est en surexposition...
Chacun fait ses choix personnels, et le mien ici aurait été de décentrer la porte du fond, pour jouer un peu plus avec les angles. Enfin, ceci n'engage que moi.

La campagne me manque, parfois...

I totally understand what you were seeing here, maybe the rustic walls, the wood, the brown leaves. In order to capture the shade sometimes you have to lower F stop, which blows out the light outside. I would have stepped closer, got out my wide angle and adjusted for the shadows in PP work. Maybe a cool HDR shot, or clarified shot would have saved this. I would love to see the whole building!
