[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last spring while buying my flowers at the local nursery, I asked permission to photograph, and found myself with species that I don't normally see.

These are of the geranium family.
The center of the white flower in shades of bright red to pink.

The B&W looked better than the colored version.

Idée très originale et excellente Dot, pour les premières visites au centre de jardin...que sera le reste du printemps! Très bon POV. Cadrage simple mais qui parle beaucoup. TFS tant de beauté.

Hi Dot. Sometimes the B&W gives a better lok to the composition and the rich variations of tone become more apparent. I like the simple presentation.

Hi Dot,
A very special B&W composituion. The bright areas appears a bit OE though, but I like the composition and idea. Yiu used a fine frame for the presentation. Job well done my dear!

Hello,

Très belle image NB, ces fleurs sont mangigique, les formes de pétales et leur consitance ressort à merveille.

Bravo et amitié

Nicou

ciao Dot..
really nice this capture in B6w.. it could look like a not sense.. a flower without its colours.. but in this case it gives a sense of a strange mood..
of sadness, maybe.. of emptyness.. of details and forms.. taken in a moment of silence..
sure it's so comunicative..
thanks
ciao Marco

Bonsoir Dot,
Annie

i don't think i dare enough to make my flower in black and white, Dot.. you did well here.. well taken and presented.. tfs..

regards, terry

Hello Dot,

It would never occur to me to present colourful flowers in b&w. However, in this instance, it has made me concentrate more fully, and appreciate the composition and the fine details, like the attractive vein patterns on the petals.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Ciao Dot

Beautiful visual,
I love the flower in b/w
the definition was excellent and the light
is important in establishing
of the petals and leaves.
Great B & W. and you made good use of it here.
Greetings my friend ...
