This photo was actually on Treknature before. But it was removed because they say they don't allow cultivated plants. So, I was redirected to post photos like this on Treklens. Nice to see that I already have two reaction. Thanks for the support.

These crocuses only bloom for a short period so you have to be fast to shoot them. That Sunday afternoon the light was better than at my first attempt resulting in more sharpness, detail and more intense colors. The funny thing is this shot is taken almost at my doorstep

Beautiful shot, Andre,
the colors are fabulous. I love the contrasts in the yellow and lavender and the BG bokeh is outstanding. It's odd, I just read your profile about the Dimage Z1. I just had my old Z6 out this morning playing around with it. I was pretty impressed. Great shot, though and many thanks.

Wat een heerlijke zee van kleur Andre! Volgens mij zijn heel wat mensen daar aan toe nu!
Nu nog een beetje zon erbij en dan barst het helemaal los.... zou niet gek zijn hoor....

Bij een foto als deze zou ik zelf de scherpte of helemaal vooraan houden, of helemaal achteraan.
Dat heeft te maken met het feit, dat al die kleurtjes en kleine bloemetjes best een onoverzichtelijk en druk beeld geven.
De scherpte op een plek waar die nu zit geeft voor mijn gevoel eigenlijk alleen maar meer onrust.

Feit blijft, dat al deze kleurtjes mij in ieder geval een blij en echt lentegevoel geven!

You are welcome to post as many of these lovely flowers as you want. Contraversial having fg out of focus but I like it. It leads to te eye to focus on the midground and makes it a little 3d imho

Hoi Andre,
Ik denk dat ik het spectacle dit jaar heb gemist. Of ik moet nog even flink m'n best gaan doen.
Je lage standpunt and the DOF are beide super. Erg mooie gevoel van diepte. De helderheid en kleuren zijn heerlijk.
