[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The contrast between this old, ruinous building and colorful posters is very striking. I just had to take this photo. What's maybe more interesting, this house's frontal part looks quite aesthetically. I think it's because the house's situated in a great street full of exclusive boutiques.
But here's the truth about Warsaw - on my picture. Some part of Warsaw's citizens can't afford to be such boutiques customers. They're living on the "darker side of the street". And my aim was to show you that side.

Hi Anna. What an interesting image! The contrast between the posters and the old buildings behind is striking, and not just the colours--the cultural and societal difference especially is poignant, as you allude to in your note.
Excellent!

Times are a changing! Progress and new happenings don't always work out well or please people. Good shot Anna, well done.

Powiem tylko: I o to chodzi. Ciekawa kompozycja, dobrze wypatrzony motyw, ładnie zbudowane plany.

I agree the contrast is striking. You've got a nice balance between the foreground posters and the background building. I finr the left edge a bit interesting as well. The posters become far less colourful and a bit chaotic. That edge of the building is an edge and suggests a damaged or chaotic (jaggard) structure. I also notice that the right of the poster is a colourful, but almost featureless band, as with the building with a bland featureless wall. So the wall of posters has two things in common with the building, while at the same time contrast with it. Nice photo.

Your note is very useful.
Great contrast on the photo.
Thank you.
François
