Hi Linda

Good use of a shallow dof with a simple uncluttered bg, & good sharpness on the sparrow. Hope your foot gets better soon. And the dry weather improves. I sprained & twisted my ankle in June last year, & it took about 3 months to get back to normal. Even spent 4 hours hiking around both the Canadian Rockies in the snow in October & the Grand Canyon in November! Tfs!

Hi Linda,
Reminds me of the old addage WATCH THE LITTLE BIRDIE AND SMILE. We got a little over an inch and a half of rain yesterday with it raining now and more later and tommorrow. Maybe some nice flowers yet. Be careful on that foot and good luck at the doctor

I really like the nice composition you did with this bird.
Most people including me, try ever to get very close to the object of image... you are a step further with this image..you made the twigs a very part of the photo...

This is pretty to look at.
Love the blurred backgound, it really brings out the branch with its cute occupant taking in the sun.

I hope its only a badly twisted ankle, and definitely not a torn ligament, because after the operation you will have inherited a barometer, that will remind you of your accident each time the bad weather is to appear.

Very good capture, amazing result at f/7. Great shallow DOF.

I've used same lens for Nikon F mount and i just cant tell how were the results uhhh very very beautiful :)

I like sharpness here and ur placement of bird very effective.

A foot is a difficult part of the body to rest!

I love the composition of your sparrow shot.
It has selected a particularly useful twig on which to rest, which offers a delightful curve to the t/l/h corner.
Youe dof makes the whole b/g take on the softness of a water colour.

Those are big words Linda - and they sound painful - poor you. That cortizone should kick in in a few days...

Lovely capture of the little sparrow - with a sharp catchlight in his eye too. You were lucky he deci8ded to sit on that part of the branch - he fits in well.

Now these shots are close to my heart. :)) I LOVE bird photos and this is exceptionally good. Marvelous light and detail right down to the sparkle in its eye and I love the branches.
