This was taken whilst walking down the road near Punta Cana. This little one caught my eye, and bekoned me over. Then played hard to get. He seemed much younger than the other horses, and just a little smaller in stature. By north American standards, this would probably be put into an abused category. But the way of life for these animals is hard work, and graze what you can to stay alive. Sure makes one appreciate the beauty of what we have.
Tech: Cropped, thin border, resized and sharpened slightly.
Comments and workshops most appreciated. Thank you for taking time to view my shot. |

Hi Dianne,
Great shot of this big softy. Looks like he's sleeping! :). Superb colour and details. I've got a photo of a Clydesdale horse in my gallery, I know how hard it can be at times to get them to look the right way or even approach you at all. So nice work with this one, well captured.
TFS,
Scott.
Dianne,
A high quality image, the horse is beautifully framed especialy with the vegetation around. My mind keeps saying this would make a good cover photo for a romance type of book. Wsihing you a good weekend. My best regards...

Hi Dianne,
this is a good shot, showing off the horses mane & coat, in great detail & sharpness. I'm not sure if a tighter crop eliminating its rear hunches & showing only its neck & front chest ,would make for a stronger image or not?
I like how you have caught it smelling the bush.Having its eyes closed, it appears as though it is imwardly saying Ahhhh
this smells good:)

Hi Dianne!
horses are my favorite animals, i love them...they're beautiful...and you have captured the beauty pretty well here...but i think that the tight crop on the upper part doesn't suit that well, a bit more space to breathe would be great...
