[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"Bicycle friends" . . . This trio of bicyclists are extracted from a very large mural. That mural was posted as a panorama several weeks ago of another bicyclist riding over a sand dune.

The original mural is entitled "The Duboce Bikeway Mural." The sign showing the title and artists can be viewed as a workshop. San Francisco is a city where bicyclists are very pro-active, so I'm fairly certain that this influenced the naming and location of this mural. It also runs along the back side of a huge supermarket and the roadway there is exclusively for bikes.

One of the things I like about the total mural is the sense of community and playfulness which you can see in these bikers here. There are many other "participants" in the mural, including a lizard, plants and other people you might see on the street. It's a very fanciful and creative piece of art and was done by many artists as a city sponsored project.

I used the free software Photoscape to combine and frame the images. I also did multiple saturation and sharpness adjustments using both Picasa 3 and Adobe Elements.

Nice shot Richard. I like the colors and the fact that the lighter yellow is 'sandwiched' between the darker yellows. Good presentation.
