Cosmic rays ... on a lake
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Image taken while skiing on lake Pyhäselkä shortly after sunset. It was blue. You can see the islands where I came from. The island on the right is called Pyhäsaari (Holy Island) and it is popular place to ski in sunny spring days. It is 8 km from the place this photo was taken. An other skier and the trail can also be seen.
I started after work and skied 25km. One km left when this photo was taken.
The blue tone is as it was captured with the realistic color mode in my camera (The camera has normal, vivid and realistic color modes) My eyes didn't see this as blue as it is here. There must be some problem with the white balance in the "blue moment".
Yesterday news told that the sun is not so active as it has been for the last sixty- eighty years but also that there is more cosmic rays in the athmosphere.
Just framed and collapsed. No crop and no tripod.
Belongs to series "skiing on a lake" and "photo biatholon".
The blue tone when the sun is set is nicely emphasized also in a more arctic photo I saw the day before I took this one. The other was published in trekearth by Heidi. |
