Hello everyone, continuing on from my previous shots...this is 'The end of the walk'.
About twenty metres away is the car park, a natural piece of land with enough space for just a few cars.

This is the River Meavy at Norsworthy Bridge. We are at the eastern end of Burrator reservoir.
It is a very popular spot, and it isn't a long walk before you are up onto the moors with many fine views to behold.

I took this shot because I liked the different textures of the tree roots clearly visible, and the moss that grows in profusion on the rocks and tree trunks.

Thanks for looking.

PP:saturation+6,lightness-2,crop,applied levels,added contrast+15,applied unsharp mask,added a narrow border and resized for posting.

Hello Jean,

What a sharp, well exposed, eye-pleasing shot. That's really a relaxing place. The roots of the trees are astonishingly detailed.
Very good job. Regards.

HI Jean
The land looks like it was carved and sculptured and I am guessing that this little brook would be very appealing in the summer.
At the moment the shot reflects cold and I can imagine this early winter with a bit of snow. Its beautiful countryside and you did a good job.

I just LOVE this Jean! The roots just squiggle and lead your eye right down the path, to the water. I love the extreme wide angle here. Just beautiful!
