This is a shot from the other side of the sign I posted yesterday. It's a bit later in the evening, too.
This restaurant is Blueberry Hill, located on Delmar Blvd. (recently dubbed "Barack Obama Boulevard" by St. Louis City committee) Blueberry Hill is many things - a restaurant, a bar, an entertainment venue, a St. Louis trivia museum, a college student hang-out, a tourist attraction - I believe it is a uniquely St. Louis location. The area we are in is called "Delmar Loop", most specifically in University City, Missouri. Joe Edwards is the owner and proprietor of Blueberry Hill and other fine establishments in the Loop, I truly believe he will ensure this place is remembered historically long after his demise. He has brought this area along over the past many years by his ideas, such as the St. Louis Walk of Fame - you can see a few of the stars in the sidewalk in this photograph. They showcase all the local celebrities, some very famous (Kevin Kline, Dizzy Dean, Maya Angelou) and some not so famous.
If you are ever in St. Louis, this is one area you will enjoy exploring. This image was taken shortly after sunset, the Loop has yet to get ramped up - before too long all those chairs stacked up next to the building will be occupied by boisterous college students, local beer drinkers and tourists.
Technically, I did very little to this image, just removed some noise, added a frame, re-sized, sharpened a bit and saved for TL. I hadn't realized that the aperture was set so wide - I must have knocked the settings to Program before I shot this, but it doesn't suffer too badly from a lack of depth of field.
