Another year gone, and it's nesting and feeding time again.
I've been watching a pair of Robins for around six weeks now building their nest in a tree in our garden, and now, I'm watching their never ending task of feeding four chicks.
Looks like a crushed beetle for dinner for one of the lucky robins
I set my camera up in the bedroom which has resulted in getting on "eye to eye" level with the Robin's favourite lookout perch before she sneakily dodges into the nesting chicks, feeds them, then flies out to look for more food, to start the whole process again.
It's taken about 8 days to get this shot.
I used my Canon 70-200mm f2.8 with Canon 2x convertor and pulled in to 400mm, set on a tripod.
Cropped, digitally zoomed by around 20%, resized and USM.

Hi Martin,
A beautifulshot of this Robin, well worth the waiting! Great colors and details.
Congratulations.
Hello Martin
Your patience has been rewarded! Great capture of the robin taking food to her chicks. You have done well, it doesn’t look too-bright a day, and it’s pretty sharp considering the tele-converter.
We have the usual blackbird nest building going on at the moment!
Regards, Leslie
Hello Martin, I have just been looking at 'More tasty morsels' and comparing it with this shot.I think that I like this one because of the sharp quality, and Mrs Robin looks as if she is listening and looking to ensure that it is safe going to her nest.
I look forward to seeing more in the series.Keep us posted as to the progress.
Tfs, regards Jean.
