I'm not really sure what this rock in Moab Arches National Park is called. Most of them have proper names already. But this weird rock formation did look like a monster to me. Might be scarier at night, too! The snowcapped mountains in the background are the Rockies. The 'fat' or 'big boned' rock at left, reminded me of 'Cartman', out of 'South Park'.

Hi Chris,
"once upon a time in the west"..this is the feeling I get when I look at this picture. Great job indeed, with the compo working very well with the massive rock well placed in the frame and adding a nice perspective. Plenty of room for the eye to discover the beauty of this location until we reach the horizon with the snowy mountain. I like the way you managed to deliver a good quality and the presentation of this shot. Well done!
Thanks and regards,

Ele

Hello,

superbe la forme de ce rocher, comme un ménhir, avec ce ciel rosé, ces fantastique couleur de la terre, une grandiose image.

Amizing landscape it is down there, Chris.
Good overview on it.
Better not to disturb this monster. Let it sleep.
Regards from Jan

Nice composition here Chris .. and nice to see a glimpse of the Rockies in the far distance too. Good shot.

Hello Chris,
Stunning view again from this national park, I like the warm tones of the rocks, but what's more interesting to me, it's the snowy peaks in the background that add more impact and versatility to this picture. Amazing landscape, correctly exposed sky. Well done, TFS!
Have a nice weekend!
Greetings,
Kristof

hi Chris

Such amazing kind of natural wonder for this landscape view with very strong color contrast shown by the soil and rocks. I imagine the formation may have taken very long period of historic time to transit to this age.

A fine capture of sharing something very attractive from Utah.

tfs, bill

I like your processing here Chris! really rich colors and this is a cool rock formation! Superb work, enjoying your photos from your trip!
