[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My Friend Hoss stopped by the shop yesterday, looking for a sling to pull off a 10' roll of hay.
I found him one and then said "let me take your picture". He looks rough and gruff and truth be told, he's been rode hard and put up wet. But he's got a big heart and loves to laugh. I should image his hands, big old calloused meat hooks.

If you need a horse broke or doctored he's your man, and he can tell stories of misadventure that have folks rolling on the floor. He never learned to read but driving a lowboy for a living he doesn't seem to miss it. I'd love to teach him though, he would enjoy Louis L'Amore.

Shot at 275mm fl from about 50 feet away. No cropping or PP, just added the black frame.

Great shot, Frank. The green hues of the background complement his eyes. Hoss looks like quite a character - a hard worker and a good man. You should get some action shots of him working.

Nice shot.. the only comment i would add would be if you had the chance to retake this is it appears he has a bracket growing out of his ear.. ;-) Perhaps i should have you take a shot for me on the Harley some day. Thanks for sharing.
