[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken near the Haleakala Visitor Center. I was not very experienced with taking pictures of a sunrise. Many of my pictures did not turn out due to exposure issues. Anyway, scenery was awesome. My family (wife and 3 teen age daughters) thought I was crazy dragging them up at 3:00 a.m. to see the sunrise at the top of a volcano. It was very cold and windy -- even for this Canadian! I think to get good pictures I would recommend a good tripod.

Hi Brian !

Very beautiful and interesting picture.
Splendid colors with exceptional contrast.
A dream landscape.
My opinion he deserved to make the effort to awaken.
Frankly I would have done the same.
Cordial congratulations and wait and other beautiful pictures.
Also I want the heart of welcome on TL, many points and pleasant comments.
Have a beautiful day,
Adrian

Hi Brian.
A wonderful view on this lava land. I love how it seems that there is a path down the slope. The high elevation with the clouds below you is very impressive. Considering the position of the sun, you managed to get great details in the landscape.
Next time use a grad ND filter to balance the exposure so that more of your photos will turn out right. And before I forget, its best to clone out the flare spots.
TFS,
Niek
