Good shot...i think the horizon is slightly tilted.
I like the ray of lights and the warm colors.

Good Shot! This moment tells it all! Sun, clouds, rain. I like the swirl and the ray of the sun beaming on the clouds. The man on the boat could have been a few meters away from the sun's reflection, but I guess you cannot control that.
Keep on shooting. Don't worry about the crappy P&S. As per Ken Rockwell - Your camera doesn't matter.

It's not whether you are using a cheap or expensive camera, it's the end result that matters the most.
Nice presentation of a tropical scene. Keep shooting.
